The primary goal of a parent tot class is to increase the comfort and
familiarity of the swimming pool and water to an infant.

We start lessons early to establish healthy, fun, memories of swimming.

The more comfortable a parent is in the water with their child, the more
comfortable the child will be swimming for the long term.

Go Slow.

Build Confidence.

Earn trust.

Leverage shallow water if possible

Play in shallow water and give your swimmers a chance to move alone with severe parent supervision.

Challenges to achieve this goal:

Challenges are like games but with less moving parts and quicker.

Challenge:
Supported front glide from parent to the wall, climb out with support, get a toy, throw it in the water, do a supported jump into parent’s arms, front glide to toy, pick it up, repeat.

Challenge:
Practice passing between an instructor and the parent.

Challenge:
Sing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star on back with ears in water without freaking out.
